In grade school, Travis tried his hand
at many sports before settling on football, hockey,
and baseball during high school. In fact, he was fortunate
enough to play college football before multiple injuries
forced him to stop.
Since then, he has dedicated himself to
helping other injured athletes return to the sports
they love. Whether they’re due to recreational
or competitive sports, Travis understands how frustrating
it is to struggle with injuries. It’s this understanding
that motivates him to work overtime to get athletes
back to their sports as quickly and safely as possible.
Travis' areas of interest include the rehabilitation
of injuries suffered by overhead athletes, especially
throwers (i.e., baseball and softball). His continuing
education includes baseball-related courses, shoulder
rehabilitation courses, and several manual therapy courses.
A Nebraska native, Travis' education includes a Master
of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Nebraska
and a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwest Missouri
State University. He has also earned the advanced Certified
Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
credential from the National Strength and Conditioning
Association (NSCA). In addition, he is the only
physical therapist in the Omaha-area to be recognized
by the APTA as a Sports Certified Specialist (SCS).
Travis is a member of several professional organizations,
including the American Physical Therapy Association
(APTA) and NSCA.
In 2006, Travis began serving as a consultant for the Milwaukee Brewers professional baseball team. |
