Omaha Sports Physical Therapy provides each patient with an individualized, sports-specific rehabilitation program designed by David Potach, a licensed physical therapist possessing advanced sports rehabilitation knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Each patient receives a non-rushed, comprehensive evaluation designed to determine performance deficits and patient goals. Once goals have been established, treatment begins, and may consist of:
|
- Traditional physical
therapy modalities (e.g., heat, ultrasound, electrostimulation,
ice)
- Manual therapy (i.e.,
specialized techniques designed to modulate pain and improve
mobility)
- Therapeutic exercise
- Sport-specific movement
re-training, such as sports
balance training, jump training,
and shoulder stability training,
to develop efficient movement strategies
|
The goal of Omaha Sports Physical Therapy's sport-specific rehabilitation program is to return athletes to competition as quickly as possible, while educating them about their given injuries, including steps to take that may reduce the risk of re-injury while simultaneously improving sport performance.
Should further training be required following the formal rehabilitaion process, Omaha Sports Physical Therapy offers a post-rehabilitation training program that allows the athlete to continue treatment.
